Addictions.
Addictions. a nine letter word that cannot be judged lightly. it's something like a daily routine for you to do or use something and it gets uncomfortable when it's gone or taken away from you. that's when you start craving and would do whatever it takes to get it satisfied. addictions comes in many types of forms and it depends on what it is and how frequent do you consume it.
almost everyday, we hear people craving for different kinds of food and drinks. it can be a sandwich today and then a plate of spaghetti the next day. they start posting a tweet on twitter, hinting their boyfriends or best friends to buy it for them or maybe ask their parents to take them to that certain restaurant to get their cravings satisfied. it's funny how some people might get crave for it again after eating it just once, or maybe a few times. is it the taste that they miss or is it the memories that they like recalling when consuming that certain plate of food or cup of drink?
social networks. admit it. you scroll instagram or twitter at least twice a day am i right? you use your phone to check your whatsapp the moment you wake up from bed and before you sleep am i right? what do you do when your phone gets confiscated? for me, i feel bored for a whole day because i get to talk to my friends with that or listen to my music when i'm bored; it's like i start fiddling with my phone when once i have nothing to do and that's a kind of addiction too.
the worst kind of addiction ever are drugs. if you ever take cocaine just once, your whole immune system gets used to it and you will have to consume it everyday. it is really hard to give up on it because the pain it gives you when you are craving for it is unbearable. people sell drugs at a high price and when you're out of stock and money, that's when you become a devil and will think of every and any way to steal or rob to get the money.
i dont know if you can relate but what i'm trying to say is, once you're addicted towards something, it's very hard to live without it. never, ever get too attached towards something that you know you will lose eventually. distance yourself from everything to prevent yourself being the one that's hurt. nothing below seven inches :)
