As I am swinging back and forth, I can almost feel like love and appreciation are holding me in its arms tightly with warmth. My hallucinations are protecting me from reality, making me feel less disturbed with my own insecurities. I know this well; when the effect of drugs stops its job, I will be forced back to square one, being a crybaby with her problems with the society and herself. What rights do I have to be complacent and whine about my dissatisfaction when the children in Africa do not complain about the situation of not having enough food to live with? To be able to survive well in this society, one has to know her or his place and worth whilst fighting in competitive place that we are fitted under.
I believe, the platform that everyone is standing on in this world is the same. What changes people's perspective is the addiction to greed and power to control. Greed comes in role when people have an intense and selfish desire for wanting more than whatever is served on their plate. In my opinion, this can the synonym of being unappreciative. However, this word can be replaced as being very determined to exceed your expectations. When one starts having the power to control, it will make people yearn for more as this habit of being able to take over and give orders grants a really pleasurable feeling to those who are insecure of themselves.
Individuals living in this era are carved with the word 'materialistic" on their foreheads; ninety percent of the population value money more than anything else. Money is the one and only thing you need in order to get everyone and everything in this world, including things we thought are of non-monetary value such as friendship. People who are rich owns a prestige status, attracting the attentions of the despairs'. As a result, bribery and corruption happen in this world; where is the fairness and justice that the innocent still believe in? Who do we blame for this? Human nature, or the little devil that is in us?
